Wind rustles through barren branches,
the early dawn covered by the gray of winter.
Snow gently drifts from above,
twirling in the wind,
small, fragile pieces of
shimmering, frosted glass.
A gentle waltz before they land.
The gray light casting a pale glimmer of hope
as a ray of winter sunlight comes down.
Soon the blinking of eyes,
the rustling of brown feathers,
and a crest of bright red takes to the sky.
Swirling with the wind, casting the snowflakes away.
Flowers adjust to the light and unfurl their leaves
glistening with the remnants of a frosted fairytale,
soon to melt away under a brilliant sun,
The robin’s crest to join the luminosity of the tulips,
the violets tucked away,
playing their enchanting harmony to the beauty unfolding.
Overcast as the trees tower above,
leaves rustling with the same twirling, dancing wind,
ripples on the puddles and rhythm to the grass’s dance .
Everything swells, burning with the passion of hope,
everything dances to the wind’s joy as laughter courses through it’s path.
Sunbeams bouncing off of golden daffodils
Green paint sweeping into the brown
The joy remains as moonlight casts it’s pale glow over the orchestra
The twinkling bells still heard, the wind a soft legato
The drive is still there behind the light
Softer, but not gone, a diminuendo
Soft whispers heard as the darkness is wiped away by the color of hope,
Brought upon by dew droplets with the light of morning swirling within the glow of refracted moonlight
The baton is waved, the wind coursing through the orchestra once again.
